Major General L F Kasthuriarachchi, Deputy Commandant of Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force was honoured with a parade on his promotion to the rank of Major General by the Regiment of Sri Lanka Artillery, Panagoda on 21 March 2018.
The newly promoted Major General was warmly welcomed by the Centre Commandant on behalf of the Colonel Commandant whilst extending the good wishes of the Regiment and all Officers in Sri Lanka Artillery.
With sense of gratitude, he offered floral tribute to the gallant war heroes of the Regiment who made the supreme sacrifice to the nation. Then he reviewed the Guard Turnout presented by the mother Regiment and accepted the salute of the Guard of Honour. Later, he posed for a group photograph with the all Officers present. The day’s proceedings were culminated with the All Ranks Lunch.
Major General L F Kasthuriarachchi is the 27th Deputy Commandant and the Most Senior Volunteer Officer presently serving in the Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force.
