A 6-day long annual training camp has been organized for professional officers in the Volunteer Reserve of the Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force on 26 February 2018 under the guidance of the Commandant of the Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force (SLAVF) Major General A P de Z Wickramarathne RWP ndu psc at Volunteer Force Training School (VFTS) in Diyatalawa. During the training camp, it is expected to refresh and develop the military knowledge of professional officers.
35 professional Officers from diverse fields of discipline have been in attendance at the training camp. With the view of enhancing the skills and knowledge of professional officers in the Volunteer Reserve, Commandant of the SLAVF conducted a lecture on “Leadership and Management”.
Inspector of Training Brigadier H P J Mayadunne, Commandant VFTS Colonel A J Gunawardena, Recruiting Officer of the SLAVF and Officers were also present at the lecture.
