Headquarters of the Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force under the directions and guidance of the Commandant Major General H C P Goonetilleke organized a series of events coincide with the main programme of the Sri Lanka Army’s 67th Anniversary.
The Volunteer Force flag was hoisted today morning (10) at the Headquarters premises in Kosgama under the auspices of Principal Staff Officer Brigadier K Prematilleke followed by the Army Song being recited. Afterwards, the message of the Commander of the Army issued on account of the 67th Army Day was read. It was followed by a tree planting programme in the camp premises and all ranks tea.
The programme arranged at the Headquarters premises in Kosgama on the 67th Army Day was also included cleaning of the Government Hospital premises in Kosgama with the active contribution of the troops of the Volunteer Force Headquarters on the previous day on 09 (Sunday).
